THE CHALLENGE

Was to create a series of three portraits with three different persons, all conforming to a single creative theme.

THE Process

For this portrait series, I began with the idea of models holding a magazine or book in an interesting pose. As the concept evolved, I decided to have them hold Playboy magazines—mainly for the shock value, but also to lower the taboo around them. The grungy, rebellious aesthetic didn’t take shape until the photo editing phase, where the rawness of the style brought out a bold and provocative edge. This transformation pushed the series beyond just a posed image, adding depth and challenging perceptions in a visually striking way.
